Welcome

I am an Economist with a PhD in Economics from McMaster University, specializing in Health Economics, Population Economics, and Empirical Microeconomics. I am also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), with professional expertise in accounting, finance, and financial analysis.

My research examines how economic, social, and behavioural factors influence health and economic well-being. I am particularly interested in health inequalities, health behaviour, population health, cancer survival, and the role of public policy in shaping health outcomes.

My doctoral research has explored different dimensions of population health. One strand examines socioeconomic and demographic differences in cancer survival in Canada, including the roles of income, education, geography, and access to specialized cancer care. Another examines the relationship between cigarette prices and infant mortality, highlighting the connections between economic conditions, health behaviour, and population health.

My training in empirical microeconomics allows me to apply economic theory and quantitative methods to a broad range of research questions. I am interested in using data and applied econometric methods to contribute to our understanding of health, economic well-being, and public policy.
